OF ACCOUNTS AND CLERK OF COURT
FEES FOR FILING INVENTORIES AND ACCOUNTINGS
The Commissioner of Accounts office is a user-fee based system. Fees, which are set by the Judicial Council of the Virginia Supreme Court, are based on filings made or hearings conducted.
In addition to fees payable to the Commissioner of Accounts, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Danville charges fees for filing documents.
These fees are properly expenses of administration and should be paid by the estate. In each case, you should ascertain the amount of both fees before calculating distributions.

If the Trustee is unable to produce the original Note, additional charge of $150.00 will be assessed.
Debts and Demands
A fee of $125.00 plus cost of advertisement, subject to additional
fees for contested hearings.
Creditors’ Claims,
Filing
A fee of $25.00 for each creditor’s claims filed with the Commissioner
after qualification other than claims filed in response to a notice
of Debts and Demands hearing. This fee shall be charged to the creditor.
No filing fee to the Clerk is required.
Other
Call the Office of the Commissioner of Accounts for fees other than
the ones noted above.
II. CLERK’S FEES
For filing any of the above documents except the notice of creditor's claim, the Clerk of Court will charge the following:
